LAMIS Plus Web
LAMISPlus which is an offshoot of the previous Lafiya Management Information Systems (LAMIS) was developed with leadership from the Nigeria Federal Ministry of health and collaboration with USAID implementing partners and other stakeholders through the LAMISPlus Community of Practice, to mitigate the previous gaps identified around security, interoperability, scalability, open standards, clinical support, and user experience.
LAMISPlus has been developed as an open-source tool implemented using a fully modular and scalable architecture suitable for hospital wide automation. The system supports both retrospective and Point of Care (POC) data capture that enhances the clinical workflow and meets the digital functional requirements (as defined by WHO’s Classification of Digital Health Interventions) without significant customization or configuration.
Aligned to the principles of digital development, the system design is patient centered with the ability to improve patient outcomes by enhancing data availability for decision making and quality of care through clinical decision support. With the ability to capture, process and store longitudinal data, LAMISPlus has the ability to exchange data securely with other platforms facilitating insightful analytics, cohort analyses, program monitoring. The system implements the HL7/FHIR standard and currently exchanges data with multiple systems.
